Though sequels are coming in good number in Telugu these days, we have so far not seen someone making a sequel for a film released many years ago. Money, Money And More Money is an exception. JD Chakravarthy steps into director's shoes, besides playing a lead role in the movie, the first part of which was directed by Shiva Nageshwara Rao (Money Money). It was release way back in 1995.
It stars ace comedian Brahmanandam in a very important role, next only to JD's in prominence, and we will watch him as a crest-fallen real estate magnate who has been battered by huge losses in the wake of slum in the market.
As said by the makers, the film takes off from the point where Money Money ended. Four kidnappers enter the household of Khan Dada (Brahmanandam) and what follows is a laugh riot, with intrigue and suspense thrown in. Gajala, Tara Alisha and Asha Saini play other characters.
After films like Siddham and Homam, the film is almost like an acid test for JD. His mind works much like his guru, RGV, in the sense that he takes up experimental subjects, never mind they may be inspired.
Much rides on the crowd-pulling strength of Brahmi now. With audience wanting to watch him one more time film after film, Money.. offers them a huge dose of comedy on the platter.
The question is, will Brahmi and JD live up to the expectations?
